Summary:
Chronic illnesses are a growing global concern that affect millions of people and have a significant impact on their quality of life. Palliative care has traditionally been concerned with providing end-of-life care for patients with terminal illnesses. However, there is a paradigm shift that acknowledges the value of palliative care throughout the chronic illness journey. This special issue will look at emerging trends in palliative care for chronic illnesses. We welcome manuscripts that discuss palliative care's evolving role in managing symptoms, improving well-being, and navigating the complexities of chronic disease. This special issue aspires to bridge the knowledge gap and inform best practices in palliative care for people with chronic illnesses.
