Topic Scope
The field of construction and building materials offers a global platform for the exchange of creative and innovative research and development, as well as the use of these materials in new construction and repair techniques. Numerous cutting-edge research and application papers that describe laboratory and, to a lesser extent, numerical investigations or reports on large-scale initiatives are published in the journal. Papers with many parts are avoided. Only review articles on editors' priority themes are published in the journal. Only review articles written by authors the editors have previously invited are taken into consideration. We are concentrating on structural engineering and construction materials papers. Cement, concrete reinforcement, bricks and mortars, additives, corrosion technology, ceramics, steel, timber, polymers, glass fibers, recycled materials, bamboo, rammed earth, unconventional building materials, bituminous materials, and railway material applications are among the construction materials and technologies discussed. The scope of Construction and Building Materials includes but is not restricted to, materials, NDT, and monitoring aspects of new works and repair and maintenance of the following: bridges, high-rise buildings, dams, civil engineering structures, silos, highway pavements, tunnels, water containment structures, sewers, roofing, housing, coastal defenses, and railways.
At a time when engineers, architects, and contractors are under pressure to make the best use of new materials and modern technology, Construction, and Building Materials offer crucial information that will boost productivity, efficiency, and global competitiveness. For this reason, it is essential reading for all academics and professionals who do research on or specify construction materials.
Author responsibilities: When a manuscript is accepted for publishing in a journal, it is assumed that the author would fulfill their duty to provide their expertise to the review of other authors' submissions upon request. Additionally, authors are asked to provide the institutional email addresses of five independent referees. The potential referees listed must not be affiliated with their organization.
